Abstract

Ballet is a form of theatrical art composed of two basic elements: music and dance. In Vietnam, this

City, there have been lots of ballet works with high artistic value from 1975. Distinguished from the

professional ballet musicians is Ca Le Thuan. He has been known as the leading bird among the ballet

composers with his 6 ballet works. The article refers to overall issues relating to the formation and

development of ballet in Vietnam in general and in Ho Chi Minh City in particular with the role and

contribution of composer Ca Le Thuan.
